In accordance with UK Food Information Regulations 2014 & Natasha's Law.
At YORÙBÁ FOODS, we take food safety and allergen transparency seriously. We operate in line with UK food safety legislation and guidance issued by the Food Standards Agency (FSA).
Because we supply a wide range of branded Afro-Caribbean food products from UK and international manufacturers, allergen information is provided by the product manufacturer and displayed on product packaging.
1 14 Major Allergens (UK Recognised)
Under UK law, the following 14 allergens must be declared when present as ingredients:
2 Prepacked Foods
All products supplied by YORÙBÁ FOODS are sold as prepacked foods, and allergen information is clearly highlighted on the manufacturer's label in accordance with the UK Food Information Regulations 2014.
Customers must always:
- Check the packaging before use or resale.
- Review the ingredients list every time, as formulations may change.
- Not rely solely on website descriptions.
- We cannot guarantee that product packaging will not change without notice.
3 Prepacked for Direct Sale (PPDS) – Natasha's Law
Where applicable, products that are prepacked for direct sale must include a full ingredients list with allergens emphasised, in accordance with the requirements introduced under "Natasha's Law" (October 2021).
YORÙBÁ FOODS does not alter or re-label manufacturer-sealed products unless legally required to do so.
4 Cross-Contamination & Storage Disclaimer
Although we maintain organised dry-goods storage and professional warehouse systems:
- We handle a wide variety of products containing multiple allergens.
- We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
- There is a potential risk of cross-contact during storage or handling.
- Customers with severe allergies should exercise caution and contact us before purchase if clarification is required.
5 Customer Responsibilities
All customers are responsible for:
- Reading product labels and allergen information carefully.
- Verifying allergen information directly from packaging.
- Following proper food storage and handling instructions.
- Contacting us immediately if they have any allergen concerns.
